Role:
You will the virtual CIO team lead managing a number of small to medium size business as the Account Manager. You must have experience formulating Strategy meeting customers’ needs and objects and experience delivering Service Strategy to Plan/Service Design that delivers to business objectives.
Few leadership aspects of the role are:
You will accountable for the P&L of the vCIO/Account Management team including hiring and firing
You will be accountable for coaching and providing leadership to the vCIO team
You will be accountable for ensuring division and individual vCIOs are hitting the KPIs
Few unique aspects of the role are:
You will be MSP client’s employee however you will be the client’s representative in the MSP first followed by being the MSP’s representative to the client
In one line “You are responsible to make client’s IT environment awesome” by providing recommendations and strategic roadmap to client’s IT environments
You must have a strong technical background and MUST have a strategic view about your assigned client’s organization, their IT infrastructure and how you can help them meet their long-term goals
You must be extremely strong with repo and relationships building
vCIO role is a 100% strategic consulting role – we are not looking for salespeople or hands-on technical people – we are looking for technically strong individuals who are great relationship builders and are strong with eagles eye/strategic view on IT
vCIO role is a 100% IT consulting role that can be viewed as a mix of number of roles – “Technical Account Manager” with strong technical and solution design experience but not linked to sales/revenue KPIs, “Technical Engineer” with a strong technical background but does not require hands-on technical work

You are expected to understand client requirements and help them meet their vision. You will have pre-sales help in the organization to help you design the solution and SDM shall be responsible for delivering the solution
You will apply analytical and action-oriented approach to achieve service incremental and large-scale improvements as part of Continual Service Improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities
Leading the vCIO/Account Management division
Consulting, providing solutions, helping improve client IT environment and assisting the clients to meet their vision by removing IT as a pain area
Act as a vCIO for a number of clients
Conduct regular meeting / IT strategic roadmap workshops with the clients
Liaison with the internal MSP team to ensure client’s objectives are met
Act as final escalation/touch point for the customer (not a technical hands on touch point)
Help identify/build a long term IT strategy for the clients
Reduce clients IT risk and help them get time back in the day
Ensure clients environments is continuously improving that also reduces the workload on the MSP internal team as well
Ability to become a trusted advisor for the client

Experience
Strong Strategic IT consulting (internal or external) experience
Experience within a Managed Services environment, supporting multiple Customers' (preferred) or previous experience as IT Director, Head of IT or CIO
Proven experience of leading the IT division, P&L and formulating 3-5 years strategic IT roadmaps for the organisations
Strong technical background
Previous experience of running own business (shall be looked at favorably)
Strong communication and relationship building experience
Several years of experience in strategic IT advisory role
Qualifications & Other Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in an IT or related discipline
ITIL Certification & technical Certifications in areas such as Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Identify Management, etc
Certifications in infrastructure & architecture design
Drivers license & willingness to travel
