Senior Software Engineer – Python (Django) + React

Our client is a start up organisation with product used by hundreds of thousands of users across the globe. The environment is agile and engaging and challenging and led by a small but talent group of people.

Candidates with work with the leadership team providing technical leadership to the organisations including move to ReactJS and enhanced UX and guiding the technology to be used by company. You will guide junior and identify the technologies the company should use.

What will you do?

You will lead the engineering team and lead by providing:

• Technical assistance to data science team, integrating world-class artificial intelligence solutions
• Rigour to tech operations, including documentation of our tech processes, fostering standards and best practices.
• You will be natural leader

Duties will include:

• Develop and support back-end web server applications using modern frameworks.
• Maintain existing web applications utilizing AWS, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript and Python Django
• Contribute to all aspects of the application stack when needed, from the data store to the UX.
• Design, maintain and optimize back-end data stores such as AWS
• Provide interfaces, services, and support for front-end application development.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of recipes for automation
• Adhere to the SDLC phases by working with customers for requirements, design, implement, test, and deploy
• Act as client liaison for resolving bugs faced by clients

Skill / Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years software engineering experience - Python (preferably also working with Django)
• Minimum 5+ years experience working in Linux and cloud environments
• Knowledge of front-end web technologies such as HTML5/CSS/JavaScript & ReactJS
• Knowledge of Demonstrated experience working with Git
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline
