About The role:
The role act as the final point of escalation for the Service Desk and about 20% project work (as an estimate and this might change as well)
Core responsibilities:
· Administering and Maintaining a range of networks and systems & providing network and systems guidance and support to large client portfolio
· Supporting clients to resolve high level IT issues escalated within the Service Desk in a timely and professional manner
· Overseeing patch management regimes and anti-virus compliance for managed clients
· Assisting with the onboarding of new clients and adoption of new technologies
· Assisting with the delivery of infrastructure projects autonomously and/or within a team
· Validating and assisting in the maintenance of the client’s risk and issues registers
· Provide recommendations for improvements to client’s infrastructure and IT processes
· Working closely with technical leads on other knowledge domains
· Assisting the sales team with hardware specifications, quoting and technical solutions
· Ongoing coaching/mentoring of junior engineers within the team
· Champion the products within the core management toolset
· Working within rotational oncall roster
Technical Skills Alignment:
Ms Azure and O365 Services (Exchange Online, SharePoint online, OneDrive, Ms Teams)
Windows Server & Virtualisation Technologies (VMware and/or Hyper V)
ConnectWise Administratin/ Automation experience.
Experience with Backup technologies (on premise and cloud – Veeam, Azure Backup, Backupify, StorageCraft)
Active Directory and Exchange Server upgrades and administration
Networking experience – routing / switching / firewall configuration and management (WatchGuard, Fortinet, PaloAlto, Juniper, HP ProCurve)
ConnectWise, IT Glue, Auvik, Kaseya & Solarwinds N-Central toolsets
Experience with Anti-Virus products (Cylance, Sophos or Kaspersky)
The successful candidate will bring:
Excellent client service skills, communication skills and will be a reliable, professional individual
IT experience in multi-server, multi-site, multi-domain environments (MSP experience is essential)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualification and Industry certification– IT, Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience. MCSA, VCP or CCNA.
ITIL Foundations certification
Must have a full Driver's License and their own car to attend client sites
